RIDE DAY 3 WEDNESDAY 14TH MAY.
RUBY'S INN BRYCE CANYON TO
INCA INN MOAB
We left Ruby's Inn and headed for
warmer roads that would lead us to the Arches National Park at Moab. The Inca
Inn was a very basic looking motel but is run by a Swiss family and all the
rooms had been refurbished and included free WIFI in every room. The road to
Moab included some beautiful scenic roads, our normal way of riding is to travel
in staggered formation, but when the rods are twisting the formation is broken
up and we ride at our own speed and meet up at scenic lookouts along the way.
Lunch was out in the desert at Blondie's it looked like a greasy spoon, but the
food was excellent and they even had Earl grey tea!
Starr on her 250cc often has
trouble on gradients and when there are head winds but today the wind was behind
us and she led the way. Passing motorists were amazed to see 12 motor cycles
being led by a scooter!
At Moab we had dinner at the
Micro brewery, The Chase care provided a shuttle service to dinner which meant
we could sample the local brew. A huge thank you to Ritch who bought dinner for
us all. The portions were generous as you can see from Moe's chocolate
cake.
