RIDE DAY 6 SATURDAY  17TH MAY.

ANASAZI INN KAYENTA. TO NORTH RIM LODGE GRAND CANYON.

We left the Anasazi inn at 08:30 and rode the short distance to Antelope Canyon or Slot Canyon as it is often called. Slot Canyon is a quarter mile long fissure cut through the Sandstone by high pressure water flowing through several times a year over thousands of years. It has formed a sculpted channel through the rock which really has to be seen to be appreciated.

We lunched at Marble Canyon just across the Colorado River. We then had a superb ride into the Grand Canyon national Park to the North Rim. Loren had to book the cabins at the Lodge 6 months prior to our trip and his efforts paid off as it was a magnificent place to  spend the last night of our ride.
